SmartVote is focused on combatting disinformation. It is developing a 'train- the-trainer' programme to empower media professionals, educators, and volunteers, as well as educational materials and an AI-powered tool that identifies disinformation patterns and promotes critical thinking. Angel Sola is Brand Director at Fundación Cibervoluntarios, a Spanish NGO of international reference and a pioneer in technological volunteering. It focuses on promoting an inclusive digital transition, eliminating the digital divide, promoting social innovation and generating citizen empowerment. Cibervoluntarios is recognised by the Financial Times as one of “Europe’s 100 digital champions”. He has also actively coordinated the communications of European Projects at the Foundation, focusing on how technology can change people's lives for the better through Digital Skills Training. He has participated as a speaker in events such as 4YFN at the MWC or WSIS Forum.
