Dan D. S. Hermansen is a visionary CEO and technological innovator with extensive experience in defence and security technologies. Driven by a mission to save lives, Hermansen co-founded MyDefence in 2013 to develop advanced electronic warfare solutions initially aimed at neutralizing roadside bombs (IEDs). As battlefield threats evolved, MyDefence swiftly adapted its technology, becoming a global leader in pioneering anti-drone defence systems.
Hermansen began his career in 1998 as an officer in the Royal Danish Air Force, acquiring extensive operational and leadership expertise. In 2005, he finalized his master’s degree in wireless electrical engineering and joined the private sector, holding key positions at RTX A/S, where he honed his skills in RF design, project management, and strategic customer relations.
Starting up MyDefence in 2013 as Chief Operating Officer, Hermansen significantly advanced the company's technological and research capabilities. Since becoming CEO in 2019, Hermansen has positioned MyDefence at the forefront of global antidrone and electronic warfare innovation, providing sophisticated solutions that protect military and security personnel, as well as critical infrastructure worldwide.
Hermansen's dedication extends beyond technological innovation into international security efforts, particularly through active support of Ukraine. He has worked directly with Ukrainian forces, supplying critical anti-drone technologies, and collaborated with Danish government and Ukrainian partners to strengthen Ukraine's defence capabilities. His ultimate objective remains promoting stability and peace in Europe.
Additionally, Hermansen has contributed his expertise as an advisor and committee member to international organizations, including the DECT Forum and ESMIG, driving advancements in wireless communication technologies. Since 2023 he has also been a board member at Danish Industry Association, Defence and Security.
