Tech & Tonic Special - When Democracy and Technology Win? (Optional)
The Centre of Future Generations (CFG) is excited to share that we are a summit partner at this year’s Copenhagen Democracy Summit, where we’ll be co-hosting Day 2 of the event with a spotlight on technology and democracy. On the eve of the Summit Day 2: Tech and Democracy Day, CFG is bringing its Tech & Tonic event to Copenhagen to explore winning solutions for democracy and technology.
Date: Wednesday, 13 May 2025 Time: 20:30 to 22:00 hrs Venue: Il Rosmarino Restaurant, 71 Nyhavn Hotel, Copenhagen
Democracy and technology are two of the most powerful forces shaping our future. But are they working together — or at odds with each other? Lately, we've seen powerful technologies racing ahead while democracy seems to be losing ground. But what if these two forces could strengthen, even depend on, one another?
We’ll kick off the event with a special conversation featuring voices from both democracy and technology worlds, asking: what does it mean for democracy and technology to win – and what’s at stake if only one does? These insights will set the tone for the big conversations to come at our invite-only lunch workshop for experts working across policy, research, and industry happening the next day, where we will explore how democratic values can guide tech development in this fast-changing world —and what kinds of technological governance and innovation we need to protect those values in the years ahead.
If you’re at the Summit, please join us for a relaxed evening of drinks and chats. Come say hi to the CFG team for this Tech & Tonic special in Copenhagen.
