Andriy Yermak, the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine appointed by Volodymyr Zelenskyy on 11 February 2020. A. Yermak is also a member of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, and the Chairman of the Coordination Headquarters for Humanitarian and Social Affairs. He is a member of the National Investment Council since June 2019. From October 2019 till June 2020, he was the state-owned defense industry concern “Ukroboronprom” supervisory board member.
During the full-fledged Russian invasion of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak has been coordinating Presidential Office operations. He has been involved in a full range of activities, in particular the defense and international cooperation issues. In 2022-2023 Andriy Yermak launched and co-chaired several international working groups: the Expert Group on Russian Sanctions (Yermak-McFaul Group), the Group on International Security Guarantees (Yermak-Rassmussen Group), the Working Group on Hunger Prevention (“Grain from Ukraine'' humanitarian food program), the OECD Working Group on Bribery. He is also coordinating the POW swapping process in cooperation with the Coordination Headquarters on the treatment of prisoners of war. Two more groups (on environmental crimes committed by Russia in Ukraine and Ukrainian children’s rights violation) headed by A.Yermak are about to start.
Prior to starting a political career, A. Yermak had been a successful film producer and lawyer focusing on Intellectual property practice. A. Yermak graduated from Kyiv's Taras Shevchenko National University's Institute of International Relations with a master's degree in international private law.
