Carsten is a seasoned technology executive with more than 20 years of technology leadership experience. With a strong background and expertise in Software Architecture & Engineering, he is a pragmatic leader, with a healthy balance of business case, technology and leadership.
Carsten leads the Online division within CentralNic, managing bot Product, Technology, Support, Sales, Marketing and operations for CentralNic’s domains business, including CentralNic Reseller, Registry, Brand services and Retail brands in Europe, APAC and the Americas.
Having spent more than a decade in the hosting and online industry, previous to joining CentralNic he was the CIO of GoDaddy, leading Infrastructure & IT areas including Engineering, Datacenters, Network, Operations, Security & Risk assessments, Acquisitions, Migrations and Cloud adoption/offset – leading large globally distributed team.
Carsten has worked with cloud technologies as well as PaaS (Platform as a Service), IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) and SaaS (Software as a Service) for more than 10 years, having built early cloud products and platforms recognized by major industry leaders and analysts for products vision and step towards true Cloud.
In addition, Carsten has worked as a Technology Advisor (Technology Angel) for several start-up companies, helped form successful strategies, functioning as interim CTO to help the companies grow.
Carsten holds a CBA in Business Administration from AVT Business School as well as technical degrees in Computer Science.
Carsten is Danish and based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
