YEH-CHUNG LU is Vice President of the Taiwan Foundation for Democracy (TFD) and Dean of the College of International Affairs at National Chengchi University (NCCU) where he previously served as Department Chair. He is also an advisor to the Research Institute for Democracy, Society and Emerging Technology (DSET) and a Non-Resident Fellow in the Asia Program at the Foreign Policy Research Institute (FPRI) based in Philadelphia.

His extensive experience includes participation in the U.S. Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) and visiting scholar positions at the Henry L. Stimson Center and the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, both in Washington, D.C. He also served as President of the Association of International Relations in Taiwan from 2021 to 2023.

Dr. Lu’s academic expertise centers on U.S.-China relations, American foreign policy, and Chinese foreign policy. His broader research interests encompass international relations theory, international security, and international institutions. His work has been published in esteemed scholarly journals, including Issues & Studies, Journal of Contemporary China, Georgetown Journal of International Affairs, Wenti yu Yanjiu, EurAmerica, East Asian Policy, and Prospect Quarterly, as well as in edited volumes. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from George Washington University, Washington, D.C., U.S.A., and B.A. and M.A. degrees in Diplomacy from NCCU in Taipei, Taiwan.
