Tribute to Democracy
Russian Rocket 2022 is a participatory public art project initiated by renowned Ukrainian artist Zhanna Kadyrova. She developed a series of stickers picturing russian ballistic missiles, that can be placed on public transport windows, creating the illusion of rockets flying over peaceful cities, meadows, or forests. People are encouraged to shoot videos and photos of the Russian Rocket 2022 and send them to the dedicated Instagram page. The project aims to share the experience of Ukrainians living under the constant threat of missile attacks and to remind the world that if not stopped in Ukraine, the nightmare of russian aggression could become a reality in other countries.
In partnership with the Alliance of Democracies, Ukraine House in Denmark will present the stickers and an installation featuring videos shot in multiple countries as its artistic intervention to Copenhagen Democracy Summit 2024.
